An exceptional concert
On April 9, 2025, the recently restored Saint-Mansuy Church in Culey hosted a landmark event: an a cappella concert by the group CLIMAX. The concert captivated the audience with its exceptional vocal performances. The historic setting’s exceptional acoustics allowed the artists to showcase their talent, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere. Attendees were transported by the rich harmonies and poignant interpretations, making this an unforgettable evening for all music lovers. The church’s restoration added a visual dimension to the event, underscoring the importance of culture and heritage in community life.
The ClimaX performers
We discovered Climax on the sun-baked stage in the courtyard of Gilles-de-Trèves College. In 2023, Climax was part of the lineup for the first Bar’EnVoix international a cappella festival in Bar-le-Duc.
Founded in 2019, this vocal quartet from Touraine has made American music its favorite playground. Flamboyant, sweet, exuberant, sensual, and jazzy, Climax’s repertoire consists of richly harmonic vocal arrangements that showcase each voice in turn.
This repertoire, rarely performed in France, combines Anglo-Saxon and French songs, ballads, jazz standards, barbershop pieces, and covers of tunes from Disney animated films. The vocal ranges overlap, intersect, and come together.
